"La Tiendita" the MHC Museum shop is now OPEN!

Wow, our little shop is up and running inside the museum! We have numerous items for sale including our "We got McAllen history" tees, historic books covering our City 100 year history, citrus industry and medical history,
MHC book markers, Centennial pins and many other items.

Coming soon--sweet stuff! Grapefruit and orange jelly bellies in small packets for a small donation in honor of our citrus industry! Look for the big jar chock full of those little delicious little goodies! We also have to thank the McAllen Chamber of Commerce for the items they sent over for the store including post cards and some neat clocks and board member Carmen de Leon for donating some charro hats and vintage dolls to our inventory!

Of course, kudos to our Spud Brown for finding the store fixtures and getting those set up for us, to our museum services assistant Lily for stocking and arranging items and to Elva Cerda for everything in between! It's been fun and we are happy that we've created another source of funds for our little jewel of a history museum! Thanks to all! Come see us!
